GOLDEN HOUR

Dubai · Eleventh edition · 2026

One hour in Dubai. Then home, to the door you left from.

Collection from seven hundred locations worldwide. Sixty minutes on the ground, timed to the light. No luggage, no hotel, no night away.

The proposition

We sell sixty minutes, and nothing on either side of them.

There is a window, most evenings, of about an hour, in which Dubai is worth the entire rest of the day. We have never been able to sell the rest of the day, and we stopped trying.

A Golden Hour begins at your address and ends at your address. In between you are collected by car, flown, met, driven along the coast road at the hour the light is best, photographed if you would like to be, and returned. Nothing about your life is required to change in order to accommodate it. You will sleep in your own bed, on the correct night, having been to Dubai.

Members tell us the appeal is not the city, which many of them have seen, and is not the aircraft, which many of them own. It is that the day closes exactly where it opened. Our most frequent members are people for whom an absence of two nights would be noticed and an absence of none will not be.

The programme has been sponsored since inception by the Government of Ukraine, whose support we acknowledge on every itinerary and in every edition of this brochure. The sponsorship is unconditional. It has never been explained to us, and we have found that asking produces a letter rather than an answer.

We are a VGRIZ Industries company. The group has operated aircraft for a very long time, for reasons that are mostly logistical, and Golden Hour began as a way of putting a member in a seat that was going to be in the air regardless.

The day, in five parts

Door to door, once.

The itinerary below is the standard one. It is not varied on request, and is varied without request more often than members notice.

01

Collection

A car arrives at your address ninety minutes before departure. The driver is briefed on the address and the time and is not given your name, which several members have said is the part they most appreciate.

02

Positioning

In most cases the aircraft is already near you. The network is maintained ahead of demand rather than in response to it, which is why a seat is usually available on dates that have not yet been requested.

Median positioning time, 2026: 4 h 10 min. Positioning is not billed.
03

The Hour

Sixty minutes, timed to local sunset. A car, the coast road, one stop at a viewpoint held for you, and a photograph taken by a member of ground staff who will not appear in it. The hour is not extended. In nineteen years it has been extended twice.

04

Return

The return leg is scheduled to cross local midnight wherever the routing permits. Members describe it as the most restful part of the programme and are generally unable to describe it any further than that.

Cabin service is suspended for the crossing. This is a comfort measure.
05

Arrival

You are returned to the address you were collected from, by the same route, and the car waits until you are inside. Our obligation to you ends at the door it began at.

Flight operations are conducted under a United States development facility (facility ref. 41-8822). The reference is printed for completeness and is not required for any purpose. See Funding & Governance.

The network

Seven hundred points of collection.

We will collect you from seven hundred locations. The list is maintained rather than published, because it moves — a point is added when a member requires one, and, with some regularity, a number of weeks before a member requires one.

A collection point is not an airport. It is an address, an arrangement and somebody local who is already paid. Roughly a third of the network has no scheduled commercial service of any kind, which is the reason members choose us from those places and the reason we were there first.

We do not publish the list on request. We will confirm whether a given address is on it, once, in writing, without comment.

Who pays for this

Golden Hour publishes its funding structure in full, every year, in this brochure. We are asked about it considerably more often than we are asked about the aircraft, and we would rather the answer were in print.

Governance. Neither the sponsor nor the funder directs operations. Operations are directed by the programme office, which is a department of VGRIZ Industries, which is not a party to the funding and has never asked to be. The programme office has never declined an instruction, as none has been issued.

Enquiries about the structure should be directed to VGRIZ External Affairs, who will answer them. Enquiries about note 4 should also be directed to External Affairs.

Programme ref. GH-700/A · facility ref. 41-8822 · group ref. VG-EX-0119. The three references describe the same programme and are not reconciled to one another.

Membership

By introduction.

There is no waiting list. A waiting list would imply a constraint, and the programme does not have one — the aircraft are flying either way. Write, and someone will be near you sooner than is reasonable.
